Hybrid PCD Tool with Tungsten Carbide Scraper
Prevent PCD chipping | Efficient Removal of Epoxy & Glue

Mosdan hybrid PCD tool with welded tungsten carbide scraper is engineered for coating removal in floor renovation.
The sharp tungsten carbide scraper works in advance to cut concrete bumps, hard lumps and thick coatings. It absorbs impact from hard aggregates to protect brittle PCD segments from chipping. Meanwhile, it serves as a depth limiter to prevent over-cutting into the concrete base.
After loosening thick coatings, the highly wear-resistant PCD strips residual paint and adhesive continuously.
This hybrid design delivers higher working efficiency and longer overall service life. It works on both flat floors and uneven surfaces. Widely used to remove epoxy, PU coating, carpet glue, tile adhesive and old waterproof membrane.
Q1: Why not use pure PCD segments only?
A1: Pure PCD is brittle. It easily chips when hitting concrete bumps and stones on uneven ground. The matched tungsten carbide scraper takes the impact first and greatly reduces PCD breakage.
Q2: Why not only use tungsten carbide scrapers?
A2: Tungsten carbide features sharp cutting edge but limited wear resistance for long continuous stripping. PCD offers superior abrasion resistance for large-area coating removal. The combination achieves balanced performance.
Q3: Can this tool grind bare concrete permanently?
A3: It is mainly designed for coating removal. Not recommended for heavy grinding of hard concrete with sharp aggregates, which will speed up carbide wear.
Q4: What is the ideal height difference between carbide scraper and PCD?
A4: We recommend the tungsten carbide scraper sits slightly higher than PCD for better obstacle clearing and depth control.
Q5.Why combine PCD with tungsten carbide scraper?
A5:The sharp tungsten carbide scraper cuts hard lumps, bumps and thick coatings first, avoiding heavy impact on brittle PCD tips to prevent chipping. It acts as depth limiter to stop PCD digging into concrete substrate.
After breaking up coatings, long-wearing PCD continuously strips residual layers.
This hybrid design improves removal speed, extends PCD service life and makes the tool suitable for both flat and uneven floors.
